The Wilderness at Fortune Bay is located in Tower, Minnesota, on the shores of Lake Vermilion within the Bois Forte Indian Reservation, set among granite ridges, pines and rock outcroppings in the state's northeast corner. Jeff Brauer designed the course, which opened in 2004 as part of the Fortune Bay Resort Casino property. The layout favors aerial approach shots, with alternating high and low fairways, lake-edged greens and a pair of drop-shot par-3 holes; the par-5 16th splits into upper and lower fairway decks separated by a granite ridge. The course operates as a public resort facility adjoining the casino resort, with GPS-equipped carts and a clubhouse grill overlooking the lake.

Prior Lake, MN

The Meadows at Mystic Lake is an 18-hole public course in Prior Lake, Minnesota, built on the site of the former Lone Pine Golf Course after the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community purchased the property in 2002. The course was completely remodeled by architects Garrett Gill and Paul Miller and reopened in 2005 as the golf complement to the adjacent Mystic Lake Casino. The redesign incorporated wetland preservation, storm water capture and native plantings alongside water features and statuary. Open to the public, the course plays as a resort-style layout with practice facilities and can be paired with lodging at the Mystic Lake casino hotel.

Hudson, WI

White Eagle Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 semi-private golf course in Hudson, Wisconsin. It was designed by the firm of Gill and Miller and opened in 2000 on 350 acres that include wetlands and wildlife habitat near the St Croix River Valley. The Hudson course offers five sets of tees ranging from just under 5,000 yards to about 7,200 yards from the back tees, and its construction was handled by Enebak Construction Company. The layout is set in hillsides near the river valley, giving golfers a sense of seclusion as the round progresses.

Alamogordo, NM

Desert Lakes Golf Course is an 18-hole public course in Alamogordo, New Mexico, at the base of the Sacramento Mountains. Remodeled in 1996-97 by Williams and Gill, the front nine is a tree-lined, parkland-style layout with large, subtly undulating greens, while the back nine, known locally as the desert nine, is cut from the surrounding high desert terrain. Water hazards come into play on eleven of the eighteen holes. The course offers four sets of tees, a pro shop with club fitting and instruction, and a grill, and plays year-round thanks to the region's mild winters.
