The Links at Greystone

Walworth, NY

The Links at Greystone is a public golf course in Walworth, New York, about fifteen miles east of Rochester. Designed by architect Craig Schreiner, it opened in 1996 as a Scottish links-style layout built amid rolling, forested land with ponds and wetlands and no homes bordering the fairways. The course features Scottish-style mounding, tall native grasses, and pot bunkers, along with large, multi-tiered greens with pronounced breaks. Grey stone outcroppings frame the water's edge at several of the more dramatic holes, including the par-3 6th and the closing par-4 18th, both of which require a carry over water to reach the green. The course plays to a par of 72 and stretches to roughly 7,200 yards from the championship tees, with four sets of tees available on every hole. It operates as a daily-fee public course and also hosts weddings and outings at an on-site pub and event space.
