Clarkston, MI

Pine Knob Golf Club sits on rolling, hilly ground in Clarkston, Michigan, part of a former estate once owned by auto executive Sidney Waldon. The property includes his historic mansion and carriage house alongside the golf operation. The course offers three nine-hole loops, the Eagle, Hawk and Falcon, which combine into different 18-hole configurations with varying yardages and pars. The layout was designed by Dan Pohl, with noticeable elevation changes from tee to green and water hazards coming into play on several holes. The first tee on the Eagle nine sits at one of the higher points in Oakland County. Pine Knob is open to the public daily and hosts outings and leagues, with a driving range, practice bunker and clubhouse dining available to golfers year-round.
