Shadow Hills Golf Club - South Course

Indio, CA

Shadow Hills Golf Club's South Course is a desert layout in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. It was designed by the Schmidt-Curley design team of Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley and opened in 2004 as a par-71 course measuring about 6,789 yards from the back tees. The routing moves across the desert floor with mountain backdrops that shift color through the day, and the club includes a two-tier practice facility with a short-game area and a separate teaching space for lessons. Shadow Hills operates as a semi-private club tied to a surrounding residential community, with a player loyalty program for residents and a restaurant on site. Group outings and tournament bookings are also offered.

Five sets of tees stretch the course from about 5,045 to 7,011 yards, with the creek acting as a lateral hazard on seven holes and lakes coming into play on three others. The club includes O'Neill's Bar & Grill, wedding and event facilities, and online tee time booking for the public.
