BlackHorse Golf Club's North Course in Cypress, Texas, is an 18-hole championship course. PGA TOUR Professional Peter Jacobsen and golf course designer Jim Hardy created the layout. It features TifSport fairways and TifEagle greens, playing from 5,065 to 7,301 yards. The par-3 6th hole has an elevated green built with railroad ties, requiring a precise tee shot. This hole is part of a memorable three-hole stretch.

Austin, TX

Grey Rock Golf Club is a Carlton Gipson design in southwest Austin, one of the most popular public courses in the Austin metro. The 6,941-yard, par-72 layout features rolling terrain, mature live oaks, and Slaughter Creek winding through several holes.

Manor, TX

ShadowGlen Golf Club is located in Manor, Texas, about 15 minutes northeast of downtown Austin, within the ShadowGlen residential community. The 18-hole course was designed by architects Roy Bechtol and Randy Russell and opened in the early 2000s. Its links-style routing moves over rolling hills with narrow fairways, contoured mounding, bunkering around the greens, and a creek crossing the property. From the back tees the course plays to roughly 7,174 yards at a par of 72. The club closed briefly in 2011 during a water-supply dispute before reopening the following year and remains open to public play today.

Spring, TX

Augusta Pines Golf Club is a public/semi-private 18-hole course in Spring, Texas, north of Houston off the Grand Parkway. Designed by Tour 18 Inc., the course winds through mature pines, dogwoods, and oaks, with lakes affecting play on eleven of the eighteen holes, including back-to-back island greens on the finishing par-3 17th and par-5 18th. Tees and fairways are Baby Bermuda grass with TifEagle greens, and the course measures about 7,041 yards from the tips. A 100,000-square-foot clubhouse houses the golf shop, locker rooms, and the Augusta Grill & Bar. The club is open to members, their guests, and the public, and also operates a sister facility, Highland Pines Golf Club.

Katy, TX

The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch is an 18-hole public course in Katy, Texas, designed by Carlton Gipson and opened in 1994. The par-71 course plays to nearly 6,922 yards from the back tees within the 8,100-acre Cinco Ranch community west of Houston. More than 50 bunkers and several water features line the fairways, and the layout includes subtle elevation changes that are uncommon for courses in the Houston area. The club is operated by Arcis Golf and hosts weddings and banquet events in addition to daily-fee play.
