Deerpath Golf Course

Lake Forest, IL

Deerpath is Lake Forest's municipal course, owned by the city and run by KemperSports. Alex Pirie laid it out in 1927 on rolling, wooded ground; Ken Killian and Dick Nugent redesigned it in 1971 and again in 1981. It plays par 70 at 6,245 yards, with ponds and streams in play and mature trees throughout. A $1.1 million drainage and irrigation project started in September 2017. The season runs March into mid-December.
